About Us

TEACHER/MENTOR

DJ Ellis is our teacher during school hours and competitions. While being an outstanding science teacher in our typical classes, Mr. Ellis is kind, works hard, and cares for his students. He brings new ideas to the table when we hit a roadblock and always makes us feel better after a rough match. Although we have been a team for only a year, we couldn't have made the progress we did without Mr. Ellis.

OUR SCHOOL

Harrisburg High School is a welcoming community within Harrisburg, Oregon. As students in the Robotics program, we take what we learn in the classroom and apply it to real-world challenges. During our class period, we learn skills in programming, engineering, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. While learning and growing is challenging, we work together to represent each other and our school through creativity and dedication.

OUR PROGRAM

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a robotics program that challenges teams of students to work together and design, build, program, and compete with their robots. FTC gives us students hands-on experience with engineering and programming while teaching us how to work as a team, solve problems, think creatively, and be Graciously Professional.
